Big Game Fishing — West Coast
A deep-sea fishing trip out of Black River targeting marlin, yellowfin tuna and mahi-mahi: priced per trip / per boat, up to 6 anglers.
The west coast of Mauritius is one of the most celebrated sport fishing destinations in the Indian Ocean. The Black River drop-off plunges rapidly past 2,000 metres — and that’s where blue and black marlin, yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi and barracuda live. I work with experienced local skippers who know these waters inside out.
The trip runs for a half day or a full day. Aboard a fully rigged sport fishing boat (rods, reels, lures, outriggers), you fish by trolling. The skipper guides, the deckhand assists you during the fight. On-board policy: catch and release recommended for marlin, keep what you plan to eat for everything else.
The rate is per trip / full boat — come alone or as a group of up to 6, the price is the same. I book the boat and organise your morning transfer from your hotel on the west coast.
