Mauritius long had the reputation of a high-end destination. While luxury is indeed everywhere, there are also real ways to enjoy the pearl of the Indian Ocean without breaking the bank. Here is a complete and realistic Mauritius travel budget, with verifiable figures for 2025-2026.

The flight from Europe and Réunion

From mainland Europe

Direct flights Paris CDG – Mauritius take around 11h30 to 12h. On average, count:

  • Low season: €550 to €850 return per person in economy.
  • High season: €900 to €1,500 return, sometimes more.
  • Business class: €2,500 to €4,500 return depending on the period.

Book 3 to 6 months in advance for July and December.

From Réunion

Count €150 to €350 return depending on the period. Advantage: no time difference, no long-haul flight.

Accommodation: from guesthouse to 5-star resort

Real ranges by category for two people, per night:

  • Guesthouse / room in a local home: €30 to €60/night.
  • 3-star hotel: €60 to €120/night, breakfast often included.
  • 4-star hotel: €120 to €280/night depending on the board.
  • 5-star resort: €350 to €1,200/night and more.
