Domaine de l’Étoile is 1,500 hectares of tropical forest in the heart of the east coast — a green haven that few tourists ever discover. The giant zip-line is its headline attraction: 1.5 kilometres of cable strung between two hills, with a 150-metre vertical drop and speeds that can exceed 80 km/h.
It starts with a short 4×4 ride up to the launch platform, perched in the canopy. A thorough safety briefing, harness double-checked, and off you go. The flight lasts barely two minutes — but those two minutes stay with you. Below: green forest, rolling hills and, on a clear day, a glimpse of the ocean on the horizon.
