Luxury Catamaran — South-East Coast from Mahebourg
An 18-metre catamaran for the day on the Blue Bay lagoon and the south-eastern islets: the upmarket version of the day at sea.
This is what I keep for clients who want space and service. An eighteen-metre catamaran, a full crew, a limited number of passengers — nothing like the boats where thirty people are packed onto the netting.
The route follows the south-east coast, the island’s most unspoilt: the Blue Bay lagoon and its marine park, Ile aux Aigrettes seen from the water, and the turquoise shallows around Pointe d’Esny. Lunch prepared on board, drinks throughout, swimming stops depending on the wind.
I suggest it for a birthday, a honeymoon or a special occasion. The drive from the north is long — 1h30 — but that’s the only real drawback. The south-east is windy: the trip can be moved, and I’ll let you know the day before.
