Tropical Attitude

Tropical Attitude has one asset nobody can take from it: it sits in Trou d’Eau Douce, the village every boat to Ile aux Cerfs leaves from. Finish breakfast, walk two minutes, you’re on the water.

It’s a small adults-only hotel, unpretentious, calm, with a team that takes its time. The food is genuinely good for the category. Rooms are simple — it’s a three-star, not a resort.

I recommend it for couples who want to explore the east and south-east without overspending, and for anyone who dislikes large complexes. An hour’s drive from the north. The village itself is worth the trip: it’s still the real Mauritius.
