Blue Bay Marine Park — Glass-Bottom & Snorkelling
Explore Blue Bay Marine Park by glass-bottom boat or snorkelling: the finest coral reef in southern Mauritius, a protected marine reserve.
Blue Bay is the jewel of southern Mauritius. The marine park is home to one of the best-preserved coral reefs on the island — over 50 coral species, turtles, stingrays and schools of tropical fish moving through exceptionally clear water.
I offer the visit in two stages: first a glass-bottom boat tour to observe the reef without getting wet — ideal for young children or those who prefer to stay dry. Then, for those who want to, a swim with mask and snorkel in the park’s authorised zones. In places, the coral is less than a metre below the surface.
This is a short excursion (half day), suitable for all ages and requiring no swimming ability for the boat section. I handle the booking and the transfer from your accommodation in the south or east of the island.
